Genre: Fantasy/Fiction

Title: Spirit

Author:  Andrew Feder

An intoxicating story of being, understanding, confusion, and revelations.

Andrew Feder’s Spirit blends the above artistically, not only providing the reader with an interesting roller coaster ride of astral projection and consequences but also weaving in a romantic flair between his character Randall Lender and the gal that has caught his eye, Sandy. Parts of the book reminded me of the connection between the ghostly spirit of Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in Ghost.

As in real life, a decision we make has dire consequences, just as Randall discovers after he projects out of his body and into the realm of the unknown. Now stuck in the body of an accused assassin, Randall must discover a way to re-enter his own comatose body.,

The twists and turns had me glued to the book with the need to find out what is going to happen. The spirit world mixed with Sci-fi, mixed with romance, mixed with fantasy, all blended into a riveting read. A highly entertaining and thought-provoking book that I recommend to all who enjoy sci-fi and the spirit world.

THE POWDER MERCHANT

By David Orange   ISBN 978-0-595-45633-8     270 pp.
Science fact: by 2030, neuro-technician scientists feel we will be able to scan ourselves--our intelligence, personalities, feelings and memories--into computers. Is Cyberspace the beginning of Eternal Life? One man, out to escape justice, cannot wait.
This imaginative novel about time travel, the Mafia and Greek gods has one of the most original plot concepts. Suppose people did have previous lives and the gods of Greek mythology were real. Broadway and film actor David Orange (in Star Trek VI in a memorable Klingon role, etc.) has characters reliving their Olympian roles and relationships in modern times. The plot zips along like a Japanese express train as a sultry, no-nonsense female law enforcement officer matches wits against the most wanted and insidious man in law enforcement annals.
